Total: $229.00

Product Description

Progressive Thin and Dark Glass Lenses are made with a material that can be surfaced to 1.5 millimeters, much thinner than regular glass lenses. The secret is in the material itself, premium Corning Thin and Dark glass lens blanks. These photochromic glass lenses are clear indoors and darker than PhotoGray Extra glass lenses when you are outdoors. All glass lenses are for full frames only. Please do not order glass lenses if you have semi-rimless or drill-mount frames.

  1. light as plastic! 5 Star Review

Posted by on Jan 28th 2020

I've had the Lens Factory produce 3 pairs of glasses so far and they have all been superlative! Nothing beats glass lenses. They are extremely scratch resistant and vision is so accurate. I have some really dark sunglasses for fishing, but the thin and dark are my everything glasses!

Good glasses at a good price and I get to use my old frames. I can't stand plastic it always scratches quickly.

  4. Better than plastic 5 Star Review

Posted by on Sep 20th 2019

Glass simply is better than any plastic lens in existence. The Thin and Dark glass lenses though slightly heavier, work better, are clearer and the photo grey technology works better than Transitions. They also get dark in the car which Transitions do not do.

  5. these are the only lenses I will use 5 Star Review

some years ago I realized that "scratch resistant" plastic lenses are a pernicious urban legend. If you want to see, you need glass. THAT'S WHY THEY CALL THEM GLASSES!!!, NOT PLASTICS. Since I prefer a photochomic lens, that left me with photogray. Forunately, right around that time, COrning came out with thin and dark, which is a godsend to people like me with a strong prescription. So far, the ONLY place I've been able to get them is Lens Factory. This is now my third pair, and I remain delighted with the glasses, and with Lens Factory's service and pricing.

  6. Great product and great service for reasonable cost. 5 Star Review

These real glass lenses are great and are much lighter than my previous real glass lenses. In fact, they seem to be as light as my wife's polycarbonate lenses. These lenses do not get quite as dark as my previous lenses but darkening is more than adequate for my requirements.

  7. Love glass lenses not plastic 5 Star Review

I cannot find anyone in Tennessee that will give me glass glasses. I used to get them. Now they act like I don't know what I am talking about. I was so glad to find the thin and dark by Corning. It is light weight and changes color in sunshine. Also I feel like I can see clearer through glass lenses. They don't have the blur or haze that plastic bifocals have. I love them

  8. Excellent product - very slow delivery 5 Star Review

I'm really enjoying my new lenses. They are lightweight and very bright. Hopefully the company has resolved its recent issues and can deliver product in the future more promptly

  9. Incredible! 5 Star Review

I have used these lenses since they first came out, and Lens Factory makes getting them so easy. As long as these exist I will never buy any other, especially plastic.

  10. Excelent 5 Star Review

The lenses put in my frames gave me the best sight of any of my glasses in years. I'm very pleased with them and will continue to use this service. By the way, I got glass Progressive Thin and Dark Glass Lenses. They are not heavy, they're great!
